When running windows security essentials I get this message : error 0x80508023. Also, I get a History error message 8050800d and when I update it continually tells me that it cannot update the virus and spyware definitions...HELP?
I AM connected to the internet, despite it thinking I am not. All this started in response to an infection from a Trojan (GenBot 32 or something similar!)1 person needs an answerI do too

Hi acording to your error messages it seems to be a prblem with Microsoft Forefront. There is a list of potential trojans you migh have on your pc, for a list of them acording to errors click linkg below.https://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/Threat/Encyclopedia/Search.aspx?query=error%200x80508023There you will find a list and solutions.
