xp laptop says limited or no connectivity
this laptop will not connect to my wireless internet...i got it as far as asking for the password and what not now it says limited or no connectivity...when i try to repair the connection it says it cannot renew the ip address...what do i do now??? ive been doing this all day! 1 person needs an answerI do too

I would like to inform you that you are getting this error message due to wrong entry or blank entry in TCP/IP configuration field. Please contact to your ISP or If you have remember you TCP/IP settings then you can enter these settings manually. Please perform these steps to set IP address manually. 1. click on Start/Run (press Windows+R tab from your keyboard to open Run prompt) type NCPA.CPL to open your network settings. 2. Right click on Local Area Connection (LAN or High speed Connection) Icon and select properties. 3. Click on Internet protocol (TCP/IP) after that click on Properties. 4. put check mark on Use the following IP address. Please enter all the information there like Ip address: Subnet mask: Default gateway: Preferred DNS: Alternate DNS: Click on Ok, Ok. Please check your problem.
