After the initial screen, the screen goes blank with a blinking cursor in the upper left hand corner. Pressing F8 does NOT bring up Save Mode (or anything else). F2 for Setup and F12 for boot options work normally. I have done ALL of the following with no change: 1. Ran diagnostics with no problems detected 2. Booted from DVD into Recovery Console 3. Both FIXBOOT and FIXMBR were done with Success messages returned. 4. Booted from DVD into Windows and selected “Repair installation.” Everything said it completed successfully, but none of this had any effect. What else could be wrong and how can it be fixed? One other piece of information: I booted from a Ubuntu DVD and Ubuntu detected all hardware, the filesystem, and user files. So the disk is OK and user files are still there. So the ONLY thing not working is Windows on the hard disk. What else can I do? Thanks in advance for any suggestions. 1 person needs an answerI do too
