x64-bit Windows 8 Pro BSOD 0x9f DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE from HAL.DLL - LENOVO T430

I am suffering a high repetition of BSOD today - see dozen of minidumps at:

http://sdrv.ms/16xL4v8

What could be causing this?

What software do you use to diagnose that?

I tried using BlueScreenView.exe, which indicated the hal.dll driver as the dominant crash source (8 times out of 11), but I don't know how to use that information further.

When hal.dll is not the cause, other drivers causing crashes are: ucx01000.sys, HIDCLASS.SYS, storport.sys, ntoskrnl.exe, and usbehci.sys.

can you help?

Your Sandisk SDD (SanDisk_SSD_U100) is the cause:

Thanks Andre,

I had done this before (at your suggestion) and it worked well but, for some reason, my laptop self-reset itself to a power-saved option without my noticing it.

I will keep an eye on this.

You solved the problem (again).

thanks again,

Pierre
