Hello,I am writing in hopes of resolving a issue that started last night and is giving a heck of a problem. I cannot access any website from home. Whatever URL I type I get here: av-protect.microsoft.com/block.php?r=57.6Additionally, I get error messages from my tray regarding wuauclt.exe, lucomserver_3_4. When I click to resolve these errors, I do get to the above mentioned website asking me to purchase some software from Antivirus Soft and this is the only website I can go to. I do not use my desktop very often so all prevention software such as Norton, Webroot, etc. have expired and I cannot download or read about how to solve this problem because I cannot access any webite. I also tried to see what programs I have and deciced to go to the Control to perhaps delete some unwanted apps, but unfortunately, I cannot open Add/Remove programs.I have Windows XP.2 people need an answerI do too

I have exactly the same problem, and I'm clueless as to how to solve it. It has to be some kind of adware that has stopped everything dead until you buy its product, which I won't do. But you're right-- you can't even get into your control panel to get to the bottom of it!

I had the same problem, too. Go to: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/virus-removal/remove-antivirus-soft, and it has pretty clear and simple instructions. I followed them (basically, you reboot in safe mode and install and run Malwarebytes), and it worked.
