wireless or not?
hi,gafr here. heres an awkward one to try and solve. i have a packard bell easynote which i have upgraded (i.e. more memory) and installed windows 7. i have downloaded all the new software needed and all the new drivers, however, the wireless still wont work regardless of what i have done. i"ve since found out that this is not a new thing. i thought that the built in wireless adapter was chuffed , so i"ve bought a bt voyager 1055 wireless adapter and a new belkin n1 router to get better reception, guess what? the wireless still does"nt work! for some reason the cd for the adapter won"t even install even though i"m running it on administrator rights and under windows compatability, but still no luck. any ideas? all help gratefully recieved.....

Hi Gafr, BT voyager 1055 wireless adapter only works in Win7 x86, and if you are running on Win7 x64, it will not work. Please confirm that you are using Win7 x86 (32-bit), before we move forward. :) Thanks.Jabez Gan [MVP] - http://www.msblog.org Contributing Author for: (Sybex) MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Applications Infrastructure Configuration Study Guide: Exam 70-643

Hi, Can you use the compatibility mode to install the program? 1. right click on the executable or installer, and select Properties 2. Compatibility tab -> Run this program... 3. Select Windows Vista 4. Try installing the program again.
