Hello, Is there a particular setting that you are looking to reset? If you uninstall and reinstall the network card drivers, this will reset the Advanced Driver settings. If you are looking to reset network connection information, simply remove the profiles in question. I hope this helps.

I am using Vista Ultimate on a Sony laptop - Sony drivers not released yet - so I am using whatever is in Vista. The laptop is 10' from the linksys wireless router/AP (WRT54G). The laptop cannot stay connected. I presume the front end is overloaded because blocking the signal with metal shields makes the laptop "connect". Funny the intel driver did not have this problem. I don't know if there is a tweak for this - however Intel has released their driver (which I just downloaded). Skip

So the machine connects perfectly when wired to the router? And have you updated the firmware from Linksys? And do you know what version of the router you are using? If you look on the bottom, you will see this posted. Linksys makes the WRT54G and GS (speedbooster - and it works) editions in several different versions. A lot of discussionsover this very fact as beena hot topic in the past amongst network techs.Regardless to the past, there seems to be solid truth in the differences in WRT54G v1, WRT54Gv3 and so on, so it does matter. Ido knowthat the WRT54GS is much fasterand it WORKS GREAT with VISTA-XPHYBRID networks. And if the laptop supports it, I wouldmake the router run in "g" mode only, and add some security to the network. I work withLinksys routers a lot and they are easier than you think to set up security on.

I have had others run into a lot of trouble with Belkin routers & adaptors, when used in a Vista-XP hybrid set-up. Also, Iwould change the'mode' to "g" only andturn 'protected mode' "on." If you want to reset your router settings to default, simply: turn off the router and thenunplug everything and then push the rest button on the back/bottom (it may be verysmall) and then wait five minutes and then plug the network cables back in and then wait a minute and then plug the power cord back in and your done. Do you check thisat Intel? Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connectionand Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection? -micaman
