wireless network is connected, but internet explorer will not display webpage and directs me here.
My laptop computer was connecting wirelessly to my own private network and public networks such as McDonalds, Panerra, etc.. Now I get a message that says internet explorer cannot display the webpage, but my computer says it's connected to the internet and that my wireless connection is excellent. I've also tried to connect with Mozilla firefox with the same results. The error message from explorer directs me here for answers, please help.3 people need an answerI do too

Please do the following for diagnostic purposes:1. Click Start, then Run, then type the three letters cmd into the "Open" box and click OK.2. Type the following commands and press Enter after each one: ipconfig /all > "%UserProfile%\Desktop\ip.txt" {Enter} ping www.google.com >> "%UserProfile%\Desktop\ip.txt" {Enter} ping 72.14.204.103 >> "%UserProfile%\Desktop\ip.txt" {Enter}3. Open the file IP.txt on your desktop4. Copy and paste the text into your response.

HiThis Line, Autoconfiguration IP Address. . . : 169.254.82.78It means that the card can not be set with a valid IP, and Windows assign a default null IP.Maybe this can Help. My brother have this problem too there is internet connection in my laptop (vista) but he doesnt have on his pc (xp) and i tried all internet browser programs but there is no internet please help ( me and him are connected to the same DSL with cables not wireless)

You will need to delete the connections created by the public networks then re-connect to your private network. Then restart the laptop to re-address the IP for your private network. The 169.254.82.78 address also may indicate a failed wireless network adapter.
