wireless network adapter - Atheros AR9285 - not displaying network connections - requires reinstall each boot up
Hello, I have a 6 month old ASUS UL30VT laptop, Windows 7 OS, 64-bit. About two weeks ago it began to need me to uninstall the wireless network adapter and then "scan for hardware changes" (to reinstall) upon every boot up. After I do this, the wireless network connections are visible, but not before. This had happened only once before since buying the laptop, months previously. The driver is updated, version 2.0.0.74. Some process isn't causing it to switch on... Help? Thanks Trish

Download any drivers you will need to completely reinstall the adapter. Go into computer management > device manager and find the network adapter. Right click and uninstall it. Follow this article to remove the entries from the registry: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/147797 , reboot. If the behavior continues after your reinstall you might be having a problem with the hardware. Check asus forums for any issues. New York Tech
