wireless issue-windows 7-hp
Hi, I use the laptop HP Pavilion dm3 Notebook PC, 32 bit windows 7 OS. Recently, it does not connect to any wireless internet network. It just shows "Limited access" after i try to connect. It has been happening after I tried to uninstall AVG trial version from my computer. AVG wanted to upgrade to the free version, which i agreed. But it turned out that it did not successfully convert to the free version, neither can it be completely uninstalled from my machine. I am wondering if AVG caused this wireless problem or not. Please advice on this. I'll be very grateful.

based from experiences, for some reasons, dealing with anti-viruses or protection softwares for computers changes wireless (sometimes, hard-wired) connections. restarting the modem (and router) can also fix the problem. if you know the wireless name and password, that is :: common fix : remove the preferred wireless network. [start > control panel > if in category mode(network and internet) > network and sharing center > manage wireless networks] . and reconnect again to your own network.

Also you can update your driver. Drivers can be downloaded from: Software & Driver Downloads HP Pavilion dm3-1023tx Entertainment Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English) Important Note: Microsoft provides third-party contact information to help you find technical support. You could also try doing a System Restore prior to the point in time of the failed AVG upgrade. Then, check wireless access. If it works, uninstall the AVG trial, and then install AVG Free from thier website. I would recomend using Microsoft Security Essentials ( http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/ ) rather than AVG though. Jerry
