wireless connection 802.11n
I have a linksys dual n router with 5ghz and 2.4ghz. I'm setting up a new computer HP pavilion dv7. My problems is I can only see and connecct to the 2.4ghz in my wireless connection tray. I added the 5ghz with manage wireless networks, I can
see it there, the signal is strong, but can't connect to it. I've tried changing the setting on the router different security ( WEP - WAP), secure, unsecured. just can't figure it out. Help?

This is present with some of the notebook WiFi cards. I had the same problem with one of my notebooks running Windows XP. I don't remember which card it was because I eventually replaced it but it would only connect if I set it to either 5ghz
or 2.4ghz. It would never connect if the card was set to auto connect at eith frequency. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
