Can you connect to the internet with a cable to the router? That "Belkin" DNS suffix looks suspicious to me.

I can connect with a cable to the router. When i unplug the cable and try to go wireless it still says i am connected, but i don't have internet access.

But wirelessly, you can connect to the router setup page? I would check your router setup, especially the DHCP settings. Make sure that it is not set to any DNS search suffix. Also, perhaps run the setup wizard in the router again, if it has one for the wireless setup. If you can connect to the internet with a cable, then obviously the WAN side of the router is set up correctly. I think there may be a problem with the LAN setup of your router.

This is what it says for the DHCP settings. LAN > DHCP Client List This page shows you the IP address, Host Name and MAC address of each computer that is connected to your network. If the computer does not have a host name specified, then the Host Name field will be blank. Pressing "Refresh" will update the list. If wired connection works be wireless connection doesn’t work, the issue should related with wireless drivers or wireless router. Please update the wireless driver, also update BIOS to the latest version. Furthermore, you’d better contact router manufacturer for further help. To check if any settings should be set or some firewall on router should be turned off. Thank you for your understanding. Hi jamihill, I agree with Leo. This is a very setup-specific problem, and although everything looks right, it doesn't work. I don't think this is a Windows problem.

After i finished setting everything up, i can't connect wireless. It is showing that i have a connection but no internet access. The only page i can get on usingthe wireless i s the belkin router setup page. I tried rebooting the router and i reinstalled the router and nothing helps.

It sounds like a DNS issue. Type ipconfig at the command prompt, and post the results here.
