winver.exe says expires 1/7/2009
August 1, 2009 is what I hear is when Windows 7 beta expires, buy my copy, the public beta release, gives a July 1, 2009 expiration date.I will probably be using a RC version by July anyway (or revert to my Vista Ultimate version), so the missing month doesn't matter to me.

I see that this is reportedly a bug, and it does expire in August.I did a search in this forum by the way but used the term "expire" and "expiration" but did'nt get any results.

It could be that you have 30 days from when the key expires before the OS locks down.

You can try it... :)But I recommend to try it in Virtual environment only... backup the VM machine, change system date in the VM system, check if it starts... than place the backup back.

The way to see the true date is to run Command Prompt in administrator mode, and then entering this: cscript %systemroot%\system32\slmgr.vbs dlv in the prompt. After a few seconds, it will then spit out the correct information about when the beta expires.
