It can be a few things but start by trying thisclose all windows an programs firstWhen running an operating system as complex as Windows, you may not always know the significance of all the files on your computer. Sometimes Windows uses files for a specific purpose and then retains them in a folder designated for temporary files. Alternatively, you may have previously installed Windows components that you are no longer using. For a variety of reasons, including running out of space on your hard drive, you may want to reduce the number of files on your disk, or create more free space, if it can be done without harming any of your programs. Use the Windows disk cleanup Wizard to perform all of the following tasks to clear space on your hard disk: Remove temporary Internet files. Remove any downloaded program files (ActiveX controls and Java applets downloaded from the Internet). Empty the Recycle Bin. Remove Windows temporary files. Remove Windows components that you are not using. Remove installed programs that you no longer use. [1.]To start Disk Cleanup, click Start, click Run, and then type cleanmgr. Or if your not comfortable using run codes To open Disk Cleanup, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to System Tools, and then click Disk Cleanupand delete unessary temporary files------------------------------------------------------------------------also every once in awhile open internet options in tools tab anddelete saved temporary files, history, and or also saved passwords, web form information.------------------------------------------------------------------------see if that helps some, it is necessary with most laptops n computers. [ 2.] go 2 start menu go 2 my computer -right click on c;/drive -select properties -click tools tab -find error checking this option will check the volume for errors -select - check now pop up window - check disk local disk [c] check disk options - - automatically fix file system errors -scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors -then select start when other programs are running or other windows are open a window will usually will pop up. it shows messagedo u want to fix file system errors on next restart -select YESif you have other windows or programs running and need to save work.If your still having problems 101. GO 2 ONECARE WINDOWS LIVE SAFETY SCANNER http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm 102. -- PRESS FULL SERVICE SCAN BUTTON --This should help you let me know if it does, if you still have problems let me know. And let me know what Virus protection ur running as well as Spyware.
