Have you tried a Firmware update? Also try disabling the SPI (Stateful Packet Inspection) Firewall on your router. As this is a 1 port router, are you using the USB or RJ45 Port?

this is definitely a driver issue, I faced the same problem.If your router had 1xUSB and 1xEthernet that model should be DSL600EU,else (if you only have a USB) ... thats not a router ... its a DSL modem.DSL600EU younger brother DSL600E comes with Ethernet port only, well of course all of them will have a RJ45 port.

I have a similar issue. Vista 32bit home edition will not allow me to install the Tiscali USB modem . I have installed the most recent vendors drivers and followed there instructions to the letter. But receieve error message when trying to locate the modem at the end of the install. Any clues before I format and Put XP on.
