Why I can't run win to go with external power SATA adapter in my notebook and external USB 3.0 adapter. Does win to go works only with built-in USB ports?
Thanks

In fact, I'm not clear your question. Windows to go is windows 8/8.1. need high hardware requirements. If your current OS is windows xp but your computer hardware is excellent , you can try Windows to go, what's more, The office windows to go must Enterprise Edition. If you have no, you can try aomei partition assisatant because of its "windows to go creator" here is the weblink:

MY current OS is win 7 pro, I am interested if it possible to install win XP (with drivers to my PC and use only with my PC) on win to go. I have tried win to go (8.1) on my PC it works fine but only with built-in
USB ports, why it not works with external USB and power SATA express card adapters?

As was otherwise stated in this thread.
Windows To Go is a feature of Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 Enterprise and is not available for previous versions of Windows. You may be able to achieve your end goal if you have a working Windows 8.1 Enterprise Windows To Go environment by enabling
the Hyper-V Feature to provide a virtual environment in which to run Windows XP, but running previous versions of Windows from an external device like a USB stick is not supported.
One potential exception to this rule is where the external device is an eSATA device which is detected as a native SATA disk by the system and not as an external device, but the behavior of eSATA devices will vary by device and controller.
