Hi, I have been trying to turn on my windows security centre, for vista. However it will not allow me to turn it on, i can't even turn on windows defence. i scanned by computer for spyware with spybot, and i opened my windows services to reset the windows defense to automatic (delayed start) but it won't allow me, will only allow me to set it to automatic. so i set it to automatic but it won't allow me to start. it keeps saying, windows defender service was started on the local computer then stopped. some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programmes. please help me i have tried everything. thanks

I suspect that the issue is caused by third party antispyware or antivirus. You may disable or remove them and check the result. Please note that this forum is for Windows 7.
