· Hi, First, I would like to confirm that if there is any error received when trying to start the Windows security center service. If so, please let me know the detailed symptom. You may also try to start the service in the Clean Boot to test it. Also, as this issue is occurring on Windows 7 system. In order to get the answer effectively, it is recommended to post a new question in Windows 7 Forum for further discussion in the future. Hi, I'm from China, I have the same problem with my notebook PC today. My PC: Windows 7 Ultimate; ESET Smart Security 4.2.64.12 5741(20101229); Advanced System Care 3.7.3. PRO; Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware PRO;(Installed today) Spybot - Search & Destroy;(Installed today) Everything was okay yesterday evening when I was surfing the Internet for a keygen for Advanced System Care 3.7.3. I downloaded one and just clicked on it. but I did not use it in the end. I deleted it. There should be some viruses or malwares in my PC because "Windows Defender" said I should delete something. I clicked "Delete". At first,it showed that my desktop tools are displayed irregularly, you can check the following URL to take a look. The clock appeared to be a black square box! http://woshao.com/article/f6a361d4021911e09ecf000c295b2b8d/ Then I deleted the regedit value "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\" and restarted my PC, it worked. However, I noticed that Windows Security Center Service is disabled all the time!!! Even I tried to reboot the service, again and again, after 15seconds it disabled! I've really been tired of that! I used "ESET" and "Anti-Malware" to scan my PC. "ESET" said that there is no virus! But "Anti-Malware" said 10 regeditvalue and malware detected. And I deleted the items showed and recommended. I restarted my computer, but nothing happened! Then I used "Spybot - Search & Destroy" to scan again, another 3 problems found there, I clicked "restore" and restart again, nothing happened either! What's more the "Windows Defender" cannot start automaticly. I tried HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\wscvc changing the "Start" REG_DWORD to (2) "auto", it's useless! Although I used the "Windows 7 installation DVD" to upgrade and restore, it took me about 2hours, but nothing restored indeed. I tried sfc /scannow as well, nothing happened, too. I did not find the KBDFON.dll in my PC. My e-mail is: leovx@live.com What should I do now? can any friend help me? Many thanks, LEO

Hi, If this issue was caused by the virus, please refer to the following suggestions: 1. You may specifically give the Administrator the full permissions on this folder and its subfolders and files, and then boot in Safe mode to run the antivirus software to remove the virus. 2. Please contact your antivirus program manufacturer support to see if they have special update or tools to complete remove the viruses. 3. Actually, the officially recommended method is still to format and re-install the compromised computer from a known good build (i.e. operating system CD + all security patches while disconnected from the network). Hi, I have chosen to re-install my PC in order to get rid of the awful problem. In fact, re-installing and typing the key to activate again is quite easier to fix that problem. I haven't follow other steps but thank you for your advice all the same! I appreciate your hard-work! Regards, LEO
