windows network status indicator
I have a red x over my network status indicator in Windows 7 which is very annoying. My computer locked up and then it statred showing the red x. Is there a way to get rid of it?

Hi, It can be caused by power settings. Please check the power management setting for your network adapter. Go to Device Manager, right click the network adapter and choose properties. On power management tab, clear the option for Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. In addition, please update the network adapter driver from the manufacture's site manually. Uninstall the current one and install the new one.
