windows installer opening when browsing web
When I am browsing the web, I am getting the Windows Installer opening up and asking me to install Microsoft Office 2000 SR-1Professional. When I hit cancel it opens 3 more times. When I let it install, it ask me for a disk and then wont install. It's my office computer and there are no disk. How do I get it to stop trying to install. It is not happening during any programs opening just while browsing the web. One specific site iswww.apple.com/trailers among others. It gives me an Error 1706 when I click cancel because I don't have a disk.

Hi,Try repair option for MS Office. Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Add remove programs -> Locate Microsoft Office 2000 -> Select Change -> Select Reinstall. Once your installation is complete, start Excel and let it get configured. Once done, problem should be solved. Try and post back.. You will require the MS Office installation disk. Also check if you use Outlook and its configured properly, Can also try Internet explorer -> Tools -> Internet Otions -> Programs -> Email, New Group and Calender .. Try selecting different if you dont have Outlook installed.
