windows explorer takes a long time to open network files or folders on a specific computer, only for folders and files on a single partition on that computer
there are 6 computers on an office network( 5 XP and 1 Vista). the main pc has xp home edition SP3, and 2 partitions on hard drive: drive C and drive D( 75 GB, 62 GB free). Drive C and subfolders can be easily opened from all computers, but drive D , subfolders and files takes a long time to open from all computers. All other computers can easily browse eachother. I have tried lots of solutions, checked all settings , set the main PC as master browser and disabled computer browser on all others, but no change( all properties of C and D drives are identical, with full permisions). Please help me solving this problem, if there is a solution for this. Thank you very much for your help2 people need an answerI do too
