when i try to update my windows experience score in windows 7 it gets to the very end saying its assessing my hard drive or what ever, and then after a few seconds a box comes up and says it had to abruptly stop in an unusual way due to the os sending it a message. Can anybody shed som light on this.

well it completed the assessment a few weeks ago and i didn't turn off aero then. everything in my computer is new so i can't figure out why its doing this.

this is my settup, 750a sli mobo. phenom II x4 940 overclocked at 3.609 GHZ. 6 gb ddr2, 160 gb seagate barracuda HD. Onboard video.

Hi. Try to update drivers for your HDD controller. Maybe this drivers uncompatible with W7, with it's updates or with another drivers.

i bought the hard drive brand new about 2 weeks ago. everthing but the power supply is brand new in this computer
