So, did you make a hardware or software change? The behavior you describe can be caused by software (severe infection, bad drivers, corrupted operating system) or hardware failure and there is no way for us to know from the little you've written what is going on with your machine. You can start with general troubleshooting or take the computer to a reputable local professional. Don't use a BigComputerStore/GeekSquad type of place.1. Attempt to get into Windows by booting into Safe Mode. Repeatedly tap the F8 key as the computer is starting up. This will get you to the diagnostic menu. Use the arrow keys to select Safe Mode and press Enter. If you can get into Safe Mode, run malware scans:http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_MalwareYou can also look at Event Viewer for clues: Start>Run>eventvwr.msc [OK]2. If you can't get into Safe Mode, try Last Known Good Configuration from the same diagnostic menu.3. If you can't get into LKGC, then the next step will really depend on what is causing the behavior and as I said, we don't have enough information to diagnose it without knowing more about the machine.MS-MVP - Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic!
