windows defender scan operates many more times than scheduled scan
Windows defender scans my computer each time I start up even though I set it to run on Mondays only as shown on the scheduling page. It is annoying because my computer runs very slowly while the scan is operating. I can stop the scan but it restars again
on start up.

Try allowing it to complete the scan to see if that solves your issue.
