make sure you disable any anti-virus running at the time of the backup. Or any kind of file sharing sevice

I have completly removed anti virus and check for shared folders ( nothing existed) Still failing . already run sfc /scannow and checkdisk on the c drive.

hi @Tracy I already check this webpage for the workaround. At the Command Prompt I run following command DIR /AL /S To get Mounted Volume all the juncation link I see where the the one which are windows they wasn't anything which user would have defined. I dont know what could be causing this issues. I'm just going to take the HD out and attached to another PC and then take a backup.
