windows automatic updates is missing
My automatic updates option is missing from windows security after I noticed it was not turned on. I tried to copy
and paste the following command at the command prompt line as I read in other threads that it has resolved similar problems for others:
REGSVR32
%SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\WUAUENG.DLL
Another
window popped up that said:
DllRegisterSwerver
in C:\Windows\System32\WUAUENG.DLL failed.
Error
code 0x80070005.
Now
what? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks
:)

Did you right click the icon for starting the command prompt and choose Run
As Administrator?

You know, I did not have the administrator option, I assumed that was the same as "owner" which is what showed. It is our home computer. Jennifer Stensaas

Well, I got to the command prompt fine, but when I pasted "REGSVR32
%SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\WUAUENG.DLL", that's when the error occurred.Jennifer Stensaas
