windows XP bootup issue
ok my issue is that i start up windows xp and it goes just fine past the panasonic screen and past the windows xp logo screen with the moving dots. but after that its like my processor times out or rather the light shines dimly and it just sits there. but if i leave it alone for about 15 minutes itll show the login screen. i tried logging in and itll just sit there and freeze and never get past the loading settings. ive tried removing the drivers that arent signed for windows xp (even tho they never were an issue before) ive also completely reformatted my computer. i dont know if this has anything to do with it but ive recently partioned the other half of my hard driver that the cpu wouldnt recognise (would only let me use 150gigs out of 350). also this issue originally began after i had to completely shut down my computer because it froze during a flash image, i was running gamebooster which shuts down some of the not so vital processes that run and use up ram. but its never happened before. dont think it matters since i completely reformatted my computer. and also im on the computer it runs perfectly fine in safe mode heres my dead basic specs. model: Panasonic CF48u Toughbook OS: Windows XP Pro SP3 Processor: intel pentium 3M 1.4gigahertz 256megs of ram

i actually figured out the problem was the battery was dead (original battery still) and it was tryin to draw power off of it at bootup and since it was dead it couldnt power the cpu
