windows 8 acer emachines laptop shuts down every 5 min when unplugged

hello, my windows 8 acer emachines 640G laptop shuts down every ~5 min, when it is unplugged. when I plug it in the cord it keeps on well. I tried system restore, refresh, and nothing helps.

then I tried to run windows 8 under safe mode with networking. and when I plugged out it worked great without any interruptions.

when I saw log files nothing important, only some information and one warning, which is about some DB.

I also tried troubleshoot but doesn't work.

Please help me, everything is great when unplugged, I mean battery is charged, laptop isn't hot. I think it's something wrong in software side.

How old is the battery?  If more than a year it may not be able to hold a charge.

it's about 2 years old. I see what you think but it has to hibernate or instantly turn off when there is no charge, but it acts like I've clicked on shut down click. it drives me crazy.

battery acted correctly all this time and now when I start my laptop again on battery it doesn't have any mysterious changes. I'm sure that it isn't a battery problem, because when I ran safe mode it worked well, without any problem.

Hi,

According to your description, the issue seems AC adapter driver not compatible with Windows 8.

I suggest to contact PC manufacturer for the latest version of BIOS, also update Chipset for your machine.

Hope that helps.
