windows 8.1 enterprize logs off after youtube clip finishes

funny situation.

windows 8.1 enterprise (evalution) logs off after youtube clip finishes.

Logs off or trying to go to sleep... who knows... the screen becomes black for 2-3 secs and login appears.

In power settings ALL ALL set to do nothing for powered on laptop.

Yes it  could be because of hardware. The laptop is DELL dual core.. It never happened with Windows 7 or 8.

Don't want to break a head... Just may be somebody saw this and can suggest a fix to try. Didn't check BIOS. May be there is something to disable/enable.

Hi,

Does this issue only occur with youtube? Does it occur in other account?

Please check event viewer and see if there are any suspect logs before logging off.

You can also try to boot into safe mode for a test, please refer to:

Windows Startup Settings (including safe mode)

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IN/windows-8/windows-startup-settings-including-safe-mode

Or Click Control panel>Power Options>Change plan settings, then put the Computer to sleep to Never for a test.

Meanwhile, Please keep the latest BIOS, you may need to refer to the user manual of your PC or contact the manufacture.

Regard,

Yolanda

I have the same very frustrating Windows 8.1 problem using a Dell laptop. Power settings are not the culprit. Turn OFF hardware acceleration by checking "Use software rendering" in the IE 11 settings, Internet options, Advanced options. Reboot is required. This seems to fix it.

Sleep is disabled.

Now I can confirm that longer you tube video not even finishes but laptop kicks off.

The other streaming sites working fine. Weird!

But not really end of the world. Just interesting effect...

Hi,

Have you tried the solution posted by Dr.Monstugo, many users succeed by this way, worth a try.

Click the Gear Icon or Internet Tools.

Scroll down to Internet Options.

Click Advanced tab.

Check the box against Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering.

Click OK/Apply.

Reboot your system.
