I recently purchased a Lenovo and it came with windows rt8.1, it does not allow me to run software (add-ons to spreadsheet, etc.) and I have to downgrade it to 8.

is there any ways for me to do that since I never had 8 on my pc?

You will not be able to downgrade to Windows 8 since Windows 8.1 came preinstalled on your Lenovo computer.  I recommend that you find compatible software instead.  Try the new Microsoft Office.
