iS the 8(.1) skydrive a different product compared to the w7 skydrive? I did read about the explorer integration but i just want my data on skydrive.com be available for me.

In europe internet is expensive so not everyone is 24 hours online with fast connections and do download limitations(although Microsoft might be thinking that) , so i need the data (existing on my W7 machine and in the cloud) also on my notebook.

Is it possible to get the data back on the 8.1 machine and if the answer is yes, how?

well, seems you need to make every folder available offline by right clicking and choosing "make available offline".

Is that correct?

Tried the same for the full skydrive folder but am getting an "element is missing" notification.
