windows 7 won't connect to internet through wireless router
Hi each time you do an ipconfig release and renew check the ip address and default gateway. Is it changing from one subnet to another? You may have two dhcp servers or you may accidentally connecting to another wireless gateway. Naki K. / Falcon IT Services IT Manager for Mextone Corp.

My computer will not connect to the internet unless I enter ipconfig/release and ipconfig/renew about three or four times first. I can click on the connect disconnect button all day and never get on but if I enter the ipconfig commands enough times it will briefly. Then after a short period of time it loses the connection again and won't display the webpages even though the icon and network and sharing center both show that I have a connection. I don't know what caused this, as nothing has been changed. The router is the same and worked before with this computer. One day it just stopped connecting. I tried at home and two routers at work, all do the same thing. All the computers running vista work and so does the playstation 3.
