windows 7 unexpected shutdown
Dear All, i am facing unexpected shutdown on windows 7, when i check the event viewer log i found the following error : log name:system source :event log event id:6008 level:error message:the previous system shutdown was unexpected

Have a look at Device Manager for any error related to devices installed on the computer. If there is, update driver for that particular device and see how it goes. Step 1: To go to device manager: a. Go to start and type device manager. b. Select device manager from the control panel list. c. From the device list, see if there’s any exclamation mark or error reported. If so, you can remove the driver related to the device and install a new one. d. To remove a driver, right-click on the device and select “uninstall”. If the problem is related to your network card, you may proceed with Step 2 before removing the driver. Once you remove the driver, proceed with the next step to download the latest driver. Step 2: Update driver Go to the device manufacturer’s website and download the latest driver for the device that is compatible with Windows 7. For driver updates, refer this link: Update a driver for hardware that isn't working properly Step 3: Disable Automatic Restart a. Disable Windows 7 from restarting automatically in case it encounters a major system problem. b. Click on Start and then type system. c. Click on System under Control Panel. d. In the task pane on the left, click the Advanced system settings link. e. Locate the Startup and Recovery area and click on the Settings button. f. In the Startup and Recovery window, locate and uncheck the check box next to Automatically restart. g. Hi, Disabling auto shutdown is a simple process. Users could disable them by customizing the schedule made for shutting down process. The foremost thing to be done, is to right-click on the blank area on the system screen and then select ‘Display Properties’. Then users have to click on the ‘Screen Saver’ tab which is from the ‘Display Properties’ Window. After that click on the ‘Power’ button from the ‘Screen Saver’ tab. Then select the ‘Never’ option near the ‘Turn off’ monitor box where you assign amount of time to auto shutdown. Then you have to click ‘OK’.
