My XP laptop died so I upgraded to a new laptop running windows 7 ultimate. I've set my computer up with the same ID as my old system. Permissions on the network are active. My wife has a windoes 7 laptop about a year old and we got her connected to the servers. I hd her computer side by side and verified settings. I canot even see the server exists much less connect. I've tried manually mapping the server drives and still cannot even find the server to connect to.

Hi, Can you ping the server? Please try to use the IP address to access the remote server.
