I'm not sure. The reason I say this is that my Outlook Exchange account resynced in OL 2007 as if it was the first time I added my Excahge account to Outlook

The first link is for previous versions of Windows, but may contain some clues about what is causing the error."Windows cannot connect to the printer. Operation could not be completed (error 0x000006be)"You might also want to check with the Mac BootCamp experts to see if this is a known issue with this configuration.Apple Support - Forums - Boot CampHope this helps.Thank You for testing Windows 7 Ronnie Vernon MVP

I am running Windows 7 RC 64 with Bootcamp on a Macbook Alu (late 2008). Everything works perfect except from when I want to install the printer. No printer is installed on the system yet, so corrupt printer drivers can not be the problem. I get the same error message as surfandfun, first the "local print spooler is not running.." and after starting it up manually the (error 0x000006be). This may be a Boot Camp problem. surfandfun, did you solve the problem on your computer?Thank you for help./ Tomas

Has anyone manage to solve the bug yet? Mine is still there, it's quite annoying. And more sadly, according to the previous post it seems like the bug is still there in the final version of 7 as well. If it s a Bootcamp specific issue, I hope that Apple will fix it as soon as the OS is out for sale. I'm running Windows 7 RC in Bootcamp for test purpose, and I do like the product very much. Finally Microsoft does what they should have done a long time ago! If the printing bug in Bootcamp is fixed, I'll definitely consider buying Windows 7 when the release candidate stops working next spring. If anyone finds a solution for this, please tell the rest of us! Thanks in advance / Tomas

FWIW, I just installed win 7 final release (got the full version via MVLS) and bootcamp 3.0 drivers (via Apple Developer Connection) and just encountered this problem on a 64 bit install on a MBP 15". I'm wondering if it's because services are pointed at the 32 bit print spooler? Apparently this was a problem for some users in Vista as well. Glad I just spent 2 hours configuring this machine...

Same as everyone else here, but nobody mentions VMWare Fusion?MacBook Pro 17" (the new unibody model), Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate RTM with 8GB RAM.When running Win7 through VMWare as a virtual machine, the spooler runs fine, the printers show up, and I can Add/Remove without throwing errors. When running Win7 natively, none of the above works.I'm willing to bet that you all are running it. Please indocate if not.

Maybe this will save someone some pain.A quick simople fix to get your printers back - applies to Windows 7 running natively on a MacBook Pro that has VMWare Fusion installed.Remove the following registry entry, reboot, and you're done. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors\ThinPrint Print Port Monitor for VMWare]Note that you can also export the entry so that it can be easily imported back into the registry if needed at a alter time.

Hi All,I am so pleased to have found this thread as I have been having exactly the same problem with near identical setups to most of you on here. However, I am not super proficient on computers so I am unsure where to find the "registry entry". If any of you people could give me a step by step guide as to what I need to do I would be eternally grateful. For your reference my system details are as below:Late 2008 MacBook Pro UnibodyFusion 3Windows 7 Snow LeopardBoot CampI am experiencing this problem whilst running Boot Camp and I have been getting both of the errors mentioned above. Many thanks in advance!Edited to Add:I figured it out and it worked!! I am deliriously happy :) You wouldn't believe how happy I am to see my test squiggle in Paint actually get printed out, I've been trying to fix this for hours!God bless all of you and the Internet! Thanks so much!Woohoo!

Click Start -> Type: Regedit -> Press Enter Follow the folder hierarchy provided once inside Windows Registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Monitors\ThinPrint Print Port Monitor for VMWare *Make sure you do not accidentally delete any other reg files by accident* Good Luck!
