windows 7 pro and batch file problem
Hey all... I have 3 win7 pro machines identical. All have to access a batch file on a server 2003 in order to map drives set time and such. One machine accesses the batch file and it runs through completely. The other two will execute the file but a system error is generated. The thing sontinues to run a couple more lines but when the actual access to the server is reached it stops and ask for a username password. I have not been able to this point to identify the difference between the machines....Any thoughts Thanks in advance

In regards to the prompting for credentials, Do the accounts used for the script on three different machines have access/permissions granted? Prompting for credentials generally means that no credentials or wrong credentials were supplied to the server. In regars to the system error, you would need to identify the error itself. could it also be related to credentials? Without error codes, its going to be hard to troubleshoot. Have you been able to get the batch file to work on any machines at all? Maybe an XP machine that doesnt use UAC (user access control) like Windows Vista/7?Visit: anITKB.com, an IT Knowledge Base.
