windows 7 network printers disappear when i connect a local printer
I have a Windows 7 laptop that is connected to a domain with printers installed on Windows Server 2003. The problem I am having is that when this laptop has a local printer connected via USB all of the network printers will disapear from Devices and Printers.
After unplugging the printer and refreshing the page the printers will re populate. Has anyone else came across this problem?

Hello,
I don’t think this is a normal behavior of Windows 7. Please reproduce
the issue and check the event logs in Event Viewer – Windows Logs –
System
and
Application
categories, and collect the clues related to the disappearing of the network printers.
An recommendation to this issue is upgrading the printer driver for the USB printer, in case
the incompatible driver leads to the symptom.
Thanks.
Regards,
