windows 7 internet blue screen
Ok guys i have never seen this problem before. I have 3 computers hooked up to a motorola modem/router built into one form att. The operating systems on all the systems is Windows 7. When I have the internet ethernet cables connected to the computers they all start blue screening and giving me a memory dump error and restarting. This happens over and over. So i started them up in safe mode with networking and they stay on and run the net fine. If they are in normal mode with the modem turned off the stay running fine. I am not sure what is going on. Any suggestions?

So what are the blue screen error messages saying? Lets turn off the restart after error so you'll know what the error message is. In System Properties, Advanced tab, Startup and Recovery, click the settings tab and uncheck "Automatically restart". Since Windows system uses separated user mode and kernel mode memory space, stop errors are usually caused by kernel portion components, such as a hardware device, third-party drivers, backup software or anti-virus services (buggy services). Please refer to the following steps to troubleshoot the issue. 1. Boot the computer in Clean Boot for a test. 2. Temporarily disable all unnecessary hardware devices in Device Manager, such as Modem, sound card or external device. For detail steps, we can refer to the link below: Device Clean Boot 3. Run antivirus program and perform a full scanning. If the issue persists, please upload the minidump file (%systemroot%\minidump) to SkyDrive ( www.skydrive.live.com ), then share the link so someone here can review the dump file. Do this for each machine so a comparison can be made.MCSE, MCSA, MCDST

Hello Ionhsmith, First of all, upgrade BIOS to the latest version and restore it to the default settings; remove all unnecessary hardware devices from the computer, try entering Windows safe mode to test whether it is a third-party software/hardware compatibility issue. If so, please download and run Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to check the reason for the issue. I suppose that the issue is most likely caused by incompatible driver of the networking device, you might go to Device Manager, right click your hardware device in the list and select Update Driver Software; then click Search automatically for updated driver software. If you still get the BSOD error after installing the latest driver, please understand that Windows system uses separated user mode and kernel mode memory space, stop errors are always caused by kernel portion components, such as a hardware device, third-party drivers, backup software or anti-virus services (buggy services). The system goes to a blue screen because there is some exceptions happened in the kernel (either the device driver errors or the service errors), and Windows implements this mechanism: When it detects some errors occur in the kernel, it will kill the box in case some more severe damage happens. Then we get a blue screen or the system reboots (it depends on what the system settings are). To troubleshoot this kind of kernel crash issue, we need to debug the crashed system dump. Unfortunately, debugging is beyond what we can do in the forum. A suggestion would be to contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support (CSS) via telephone so that a dedicated Support Professional can assist with your request. Please be advised that contacting phone support will be a charged call. To obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a look at the web site listed below: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=fh;EN-US;PHONENUMBERS If you are outside the US please see http://support.microsoft.com for regional support phone numbers. I hope the problem will be resolved soon. Thanks! Andy

for the Skydrive link, you'll just login with your microsoft hotmail password (or live password), accept the terms and go to the Public Folder and upload there. As for the Bad_Pool_Header You can do this in safe mode 1. Start Registry Editor (Regedt32.exe).2. Locate the UpperFilters value under the following key in the registry:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}3. On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click OK.4. Locate the LowerFilters value under the same key in the registry:HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}5. On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click OK.6. Quit Registry Editor.NOTE: After you remove the Upperfilters value and the Lowerfilters value, if you notice lost functionality in a particular program, such as CD recording software, you may need to reinstall that software. If the problem recurs, consult with the software vendor for assistance.7. Restart your computer.MCSE, MCSA, MCDST
