I have 2 windows 7 PC's & a windows 7 laptop on my home network along with 4 xbox 360's. Because of the port forwarding on the 360's I have to have static IP's. Every time I get a update on the windows 7 devices it changes the static IP's back to dynamic. Is there any way to stop that from happening ?

have you checked if the DHCP service is disabled? if not open services.msc and change it.

Hi, Windows 7 should not change the setting if you already set up a static IP address unless the driver of the network adapter is uninstalled. So I assume this is caused by the other network based software. You may boot the computer in Clean Boot to determine whether the 3rd party software cause this.
