windows 7 classic theme problem
I recently got a new laptop that has Windows 7 on it. A few days ago I was messing around with the themes that come on the OS. I tried out the Windows classic theme. It is like the XP with the gray bars. Once I gone back to my regular 7 theme i realized that some of the old features of the Windows classic theme was stuck with my theme. For example; people that have used Windows 7 or Vista know that when you click on the desktop and drag your pointer it makes a blue box. Now on my laptop the boxes are the old gray ones on the older versions. Also in 7 and Vista when you close a window it minimizes down to a close. Now it just closes to show the the program(s) behind it. Help!

Have you logged off and back on since making the theme change? I've found that some things don't reinitialize properly.Did you click on the Windows 7 theme in the Aero Themes box to restore back to Aero?If logging off/on doesn't restore full Aero functionality, check these menus:Right-click the desktop, choose Personalize, click the Window Color icon at the bottom, click the Advanced appearance settings... link, and check the various items there. Also check Control Panel, Performance Information and Tools, Advanced Tools, Adjust the Appearance and Performance of Windows.Hope this helps.-Noel

Hi, Generally, there would be a blue box while dragging the cursor in both aero theme and Classic theme. In my opinion, it's better to change your current aero theme to another Aero theme, then test your issue again. If the issue still persists, it's better to create a new account to test your issue again. Once you minimize a window, the program behind it would show up. As your doubt, it's better to explain it more clearly. Good luck! John
