I've been testing build 7000 on (a) a gateway e6610d pc and a dell optiplex 755. on both machines I'm experiencing the machines just shutting down unexpectedly. event viewer is telling me event id 41; kernel-power.woulkd this have anything to do with power settings in win7? thanks

i think i may have figured out why its doing that. i'll post again tomorrow if it's true....

Be sure to check temp of System Motherboard and CPU(s) make sure the system is not turning off because of high temperatures! If this is the case then you are being saved the price of a new hardware Bruce :-|

thanks for the reply. No, what was happening, and i was never here when it happened until yesterday, i had those 2 machines plugged into this cheesy tripplite ups, and i guess it's stating to flake out on me, and it would just beep one time and the machine would power off. i got it plugged into a good ups now and haven't had the problem, so i guess this one is resolved....
