windows 7 are still immediately after startup
I spend a lot of time in Windows 7; more than a month without problems and I was very enthousiast about the new system. It's much better than Windows Vista, I used from the beginning of distributing that system. Now, I hav a biig problem with Win 7. The cursor is on working status immediately after startup. It isn't possible to do anything. I can startup the task manager with Ctrl-Alt-Del, but I can't do anything in the window. Rebooting is the only thing I can do.What can I do?Fortunately I have a partition with windows vista, so I can work in that system.

Hi edhaerin, I have some questions: 1. Can you see the desktop settings after booting up? 2. Does the issue also occur in safe mode in Win 7? It seems that the issue is caused by some updates. You can try a system restore. If you can boot into safe mode, you should try a system restore in safe mode. If the issue persists in safe mode, you should try a system restore in WinRE. You can follow the detail steps in the link: How to Do a System Restore in Windows 7 Besides, the computer may be infected by virus, you should boot into Windows Vista to perform a total scan. Hi,In addition, you can take the following steps to refresh desktop apperance without rebooting:1) PressCtrl + Alt + Del to open task manager.2) Press Tab key and arrow keys to select Processes, then select explorer.exe.3) Press E to end this process.4) Press Alt key to choose File and use the down arrow key to select New Task ( Run).5) Type explorer.exe in the open box and hint Enter. Then your desktop will be refreshed, and see if the mouse behaviors correctly.BTW, it can be caused by third party program conflicting with mouse driver. I would like to suggest you perform a clean boot to identify the exact cause. To do this ,please refer to the following steps.Clean Boot=========== 1)Click the Start Button type "msconfig" (without quotation marks) in the Start Search box, and then press Enter. Note: If prompted, please click Continue on the User Account Control (UAC) window. 2)Click the "Services" tab, check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" box and click "Disable All" (if it is not gray). 3)Click the "Startup" tab, click "Disable All" and click "OK".4)Then, restart the computer. When the "System Configuration Utility" window appears, please check the "Don't show this message or launch the System Configuration Utility when Windows starts" box and click OK.5)Please test this issue in the Clean Boot environment, if the issue disappears in the Clean Boot environment, we can use a 50/50 approach to quickly narrow down which entry is causing the issueBest Regards.Dale Qiao
