windows 7 and xp sharing depends on order of boot
new windows 7 64bit desktop wired machine and older 32bit desktop machine also wired. If win7 box brought up first then all is ok. If xp box up first then win7, the win7 box cannot see shares on xp and xp cannot join workgroup. usual error message sugesting permissions or network faulty. IP addresses are automatic but constant and even when problem apparent each machine can ping the other. have disabled iPv6 but no change. Any help gratefully accepted.
