Hi, First , I want to share the following information: Permissions and rights have been removed from the Power Users group in Windows Vista Then, I would like to provide the solution for Power Users sharing the folders in Windows 7: 1. User should be a member of “Power users” group. Ensure the user is not a member of groups like Guests. 2. UAC settings are set to the lowest “never notify me ..” (Please refer the following to do this : UAC Settings Go to > Start > Run > Msconfig > Tools > select “Change UAC settings” and hit the launch button > Slide down the slider to the last option i.e. “Never Notify..” > hit OK and reboot the computer) 3. The user should have full control on the folders he is trying to share. Or the user should be the owner of the folder he is trying to share. 4. Ensure that there are no DENY ACE entries under the folders security tab.
