windows 7 VPN
I was previously able to VPN connect remote with Windows Vista x64. However using the same settings with Windows 7 I continue to see that it is connecting but connection is never established. What security settings must I disable or enable to correct. The only thing that has changed is the OS.

Would you give us more information? How does the system behaves? What are responses, are there any traces in Event logs? With Windows 7 you have more options if you have server operating system Windows 2008 R2. Here is more on W2K8 R2: windows_server_2008_r2_e-book.pdf (free download) Regards Milos

Hi, May I know what error code the system prompts? And what is your VPN settings? Is your computer in domain? Could you describe more detail? I suggest you temporarily disable antivirus and firewall. Another suggestion is to run tracert XX.XX.XX.XX(without quotes and XX means target subnet or VPN server) first without VPN connection. Here are two articles about how to create VPN and troubleshoot VPN error in Windows 7.
