windows 7RC does NOT save IP addresses
Hi, guys i need your help. I've installed Windows 7 RC and already got a problem. OS does not want to remember IP addresses. For example: IP address: 192.168.1.5 Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Default gateway: 192.168.1.1 In any moment Default gateway ip address may disappear and of course internet is no more. Can any one answer how to fix this problem?

alfatronix - It would be very helpful if we had more information - such as the type of network connection (i.e. wired, wi-fi), the specific hardware that's losing the connection, and ifyou're using dynamic addresses or static addresses. Have you checked to make sure you've got the latest drivers for your NIC/Wi-Fi?

Type of network - wired. I'm using ADSL. IP addresses are dynamic. The drivers for NIC are fine cos i never had these kind of problems with XP or Vista. I faced it first time. As i see nobody had this problem, and perhaps microsoft hears about it first time.

alfatronix - Ok.. So you've got a DSL modem/router. You've got a typical NAT address of 192.168.1.5... Thanks for the info. Now then, if you could open the CMD window and type in "IPCONFIG /ALL" there and press Enter, you should see a list of all of your network adapters and their status. Your wired NIC should be listed there and there should be some information on the status of the device. The items to look for are the Lease dates - when it was obtained, and more importantly when it's set to expire. If you could, let us know what those two values are...Thanks.
