thank you that fixed that. leaves me with a couple of other questions.1 the preview bar doesnt work. you know the bar that shows all the windows you have open. now i have to move the mouse overeach group 2 today my laptop started acting up everytime i bootup the screen says starting windows and after that it shows my mouse and than the screen goes black.when i take a close look i can see my desktop but it looks like the brightnes is turned all the way down. i say looks.when i restart in normal mode it stays that way. when i restart in safe mode it is normal also with restart in repairmode in either i dont have to do anything just restart and the screen is normal again.thank you for any sugestions.Just a clear mind and some time to think

Just a clear mind and some time to think HiGlad that troubleshooter worked for you.#1. Do you mean the Taskbar at the bottom of the screen? If so, I'm not sure what you mean by "you have to move the mouse over each group?Moving the mouse over an application thathas windows open has always been required to see the thumbnail previewfor the windows thatare open in that application.#2. There have been variousbugs reported for the black screen at startup. These problems should allbe fixed in the RC release.Hope this helps.Thank You for testing Windows 7 Beta Ronnie Vernon MVP
