windows 10 MSVCR100.dll missing?
After updating my skype my computer keeps telling me that MSVCR100.dll  is missing. I can't run origin or my sims 3 game now, and who knows what other programs i can't run now. I am not sure if windows 10 no longer has this program or if skype deleted it. But I don't know how to fix this.  I'm not sure if I should do a system restore, but I am scared that if I do I will lose windows 10 since it is fairly new. I am also scared that it will remove everything on my computer and make it appear new again. I am also confused because next to system and restore is says (windows 7) I had windows 8.1 before windows 10. I've never had windows 7. I am confused clearly, and probably ignorant but I really don't know anything about the computer or how to fix this

Did you tried download and install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable?

May I know the update?

If this is only related to that specific games, I suggest contact game developer

There is a trick for most of games issue

If you upgraded your Windows from 8.1 to 10, it should exist a folder in C:\ named "Windows.old". Inside of it, it should exist two folders:

  • System32
  • SysWOW64

find MSVCR100.dll in them. Copying these DLL's to the respective folders made all the affected programs work again

This issue related to compatibility with Windows 10, games manufactured have better answer for this
