Hi I have a strange issue.
I built a computer for my freinf which had win 7 ultimate on a gigabyte motherboard.
It also included a sony optiaric 726 DVD drive.
At first it installed with no problem. However it now goes through periods where it is not seen by win 7.
If i boot system into bios, the drive is seen.
Ocassionally Win 7 sees the drive and "loads " the drivers, then after a while , it no longer is seen so that I cannot use it.
Any ideas ?

1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then click OK.
3. In the navigation pane, locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
4. In the right side, click UpperFilters or lowerfilters



5. On the Edit menu, click Delete.
6. When you are prompted to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
7. Exit Registry Editor.
8. Restart the computer.
