win 7 rc, IE 8 security settings
When I want to open a .url file using the customized Links menu on thedeskbar (channel bar), I sometimesget a dialog box with a securitywarning message "Do you want to open this file?" The options given are open, save or close. If I click "open" the link opens up, in addition to a new tab. How do I disable this security warning dialog box from popping up?Thanks for any help you can provide as toWin7 RC, IE8securitysettings!

Hi, Try to do the following steps to check if it works. Click Start, type REGEDIT and press Enter. Now navigate to the following location:- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\ Windows\CurrentVersion\InternetSettings\Zones\0 Highlight "0" and locate data value called "Flags".The default dword value of it is 21.Right click on "Flags" and select Modify. Now change the value data from 21 to 47.Close the registry editor and restart the machine. Does it work?
